Scoring the film 'Dressing Queer' screening at BFI Flare Film Festival 2015.

Dressing Queer is a short documentary directed by Rob Eagle and Anne-Marie Lucas. The film focuses on three people who open their hearts and wardrobes and question the way they use clothing to express and play with gender.

The directors asked me to create a soundtrack that was quirky and intriguing yet reflected the range of emotions the subjects share with us, be that playfulness, isolation, confusion or confidence. I wrote individual themes for each person and gave them signature instruments that could gently weave in and out of each others space. The score is mainly made up of synths, bells, piano and digitally edited hand claps and body hits.
